| I bet there are a bunch of folk reading the board. I'm often refrain from posting because I don't want to write something stupid. Whats that saying.... Master of the unspoken word, slave to the written and I forgot what we are to the spoken word..somewhere in between. I've been working on my 25 foot cabin cruiser all winter and hope to get it in the water by late spring. Actually very excited and love to read the posts on this board. |

I hear you guys
I'm not setting any records for accomplishments this winter, The snow's been so severe here in New Jersey, I couldn't even get to the boat in the Marina for several weekends.
Gotta make-up for all this downtime in the coming weeks
My resolutions: Install the new Raycors before end of Mar

Hi Guys,
so far changed all the fresh water pumps, fixed shower drain problem, removed and replaced the head, installed an inverter, replaced the carb inline fuel filters, removed any and all standing bilge water, now very dry, even after weeks no water. waiting for the gas stove top to arrive. I am taking the forums advice and having the genset worked on instead of just pulling it. will tackle the gel coat spider cracks once the rain stops. other than the window problems (leaks of coarse) the previous owner kept her pretty well maintained. I picked her up Jan 5th from the Sacramento River(CA) and took a 2 day trip down the Delta about 70 miles of so. the California Delta is approx 1000 miles of waterways leading into the San Francisco Bay and from there the Pacific Ocean. Didnt realize how much gas she was going to suck-up!! approx 1 - 1.5 NM per gallon.
take care all, hope to get out this weekend...I will send more pics once I get her out again. |

Ahoy Skipper68, Just started work this weekend on my boat. The last order owner had a massive and persistent trans leak that fouled the whole bilge. I spent 2hrs sucking up oil soaked dirt, pine needls and paper towels with my shopvac. What a mess. Still more to go before I can start scrubbing! I cleaned out the cabin this evening, so much junk! Scott. |

| I live in Maryland and snow has been a big factor in not getting any work done. My list begins with replacing 4 8D batteries, repack all stuffing boxes, replace guage cluster on generator, replace all 4 racor filters on motors, port motor gets all new water hoses, 4 impellers get replaced and 1 out of 4 oil filter housings. Thats just off the top of my head. Now, I just need the rain to stop!!! |
