My 1978 26' Pacemaker is always in need of attention.

Built a new reduced size table (30" Round) for my cabin' made from 5/4 pine and stained mahogany red to match the decor. A new bathroom shelf. Had my AM & FM CD player repaired, (new tuner under warranty). Will finally get around to properly installing the temperature sensor for my fish finder as it has been coiled up in my bilge for a year. Knowing the temperature of that area of the bilge has not helped me catch more fish. Re sealing the windscreen of the flybridge as the previous job was done with poor quality sealant. Waterproof, sew and support old rotted seems on as old dying flybridge canvas cover. Wax,--- Zincs,--- Bottom Paint--- Wax and more wax. I cannot wait as we have had real winter on Long Island. The Sportsmans show is this weekend and that is always a breath of fresh air in the dead of winter.

I look forward to polish and wax, polish and wax, polish and wax simply because it will mean things are starting to warm up north of Boston. So far this fall/winter I have cleaned up a good amount of wiring stuff, cleaned 30 years of crud from the bilges, repaired, replaced and improved fresh water plumbing, made the holding tank and heads legal, serviced all the seacocks ( 5 of 7 were stuck open, 2 with broken handles), completely re-stitched, patched and reinforced as needed all of my canvas plus changed all binding from vinyl to Sunbrella, stripped and varnished all the mahogany and teak on the bridge (previous owner painted it blue with house paint), re-faced galley cabinet doors and drawer fronts with oak veneer, (with clear semi-gloss poly there is a beautiful contrast with the mahogany trim), rebuilt/repaired both heat exchangers ( previous owner stood on them and cracked joints)and had the props repaired and tuned. Waiting on warmer weather to do veneer work in the main and aft cabins plus interior paint work, finish spider crack repair and refinish the bridge shell and so on. I am also replacing all of the wood in my 17 & 13 Whalers. The 13 only needs 3 more coats of varnish but still have to replace the rub rail and do some glass work where the kids found the corner of a dock.

I am so glad we had NO SNOW in the Bosotn area out of this last storm. Need a coffee table & small table for big boat but not enough space for both. Trying my hand at making an adjustable height coffee table. So far so good. Using mahogany, red oak and birch left over from other projects.

Finished up the table. I learned a lot and of course if I did it again the next one would be better. Since this weekend is supposed to be good after I fix the kid's cars I will start on bridge wiring and figure out which Hynautic helm I have so I can get a seal kit. It looks like it has been leaking for years. Finally got the documentation in order as the last owner never maintained it. Warm weather and soft water are coming.

I need to finish the work I was doing in the head prior to covering up the old gal for winter. Ive also got the hard top ready to paint when it warms up so I can install it. Looking forward to the boat builders show in Portland on the 19th, that always gets the motor running. Have a good weekend guys.
