Excess manifold noise
Excess manifold noise
-
What kind of noise is it? Does it change with engine speed?
Is the noise from the manifold or from the head (valves/rockers) or from the internal engine? If you somehow got liquid into a cylinder during the swap and didn't get it out before starting the engine you could have bent some engine components and that is what is making the noise.36' Sportfish on Eastern Long Island -
I'm with Rich on this one, assuming it is a mechanical noise and not a dry exhaust leak. Any chance one of the exhaust port gaskets slipped as you were putting her back together?
