My first pacemaker
-
Well I just bought a 1973 31 pacemaker flybridge sedan. From my friend for $1500. Mechanically sound!!! But in serious need of a cosmetic make over!!! Nothing I can't handle with 7 years experiance in the autobody industry. I am looking toward to ripping the guts out and going to town on this boat!! Any suggestions and ideas would be greatly appreciated!!! Also would love to see some pics of some others projects or re arrangements of there cabins. Looking foward to my next project but won't start it until fall. Want to just enjoy the rest of the summer!!!

Most folks, myself included do a little at a time, it keeps you from being overwelmed. Otheres go the more radical way such as you are suggesting. Good luck and have fun doing it is the best thing that you can do. And of course share the pictures with us as we all like to see what everyone else is doing.

I too am just starting a restoration on a 1971 28 ft Pacemaker. Mine is mechanically and structurely in good shape, but also need to redo the cabin. Wiring looks pretty original, but I will be going over that closely. I have spent 43 years as a marine electrican so I shouldn't any problems there. I am going to do the restoration slowly as I want to upgrade many of the fixtures and plumbing. I also want to reduce the number of sea connections and make sure everything is tight. I would like to see pictures of yours, and I'll be posting the before and after pictures of mine as the restoration proceeds. Best of luck to you.

Lunasea and miss Nancy. Thanks for the replies. And soon as I get back from P.R. I will start taking pics of everything. I plan on putting a book together from start to finish and keeping it on the boat!! I think the most costly part of this project is going to be the windows as this seems to be everyone's issue and reason behind a cabin refit!!!!! I will post pics up here as soon as I can!

Good to find a girl that enjoys being on the water. So not only do we get to boat together she also is a skydiver like myself as well!!!!!!!
