furuno radar

We purchased a pacemacker on 8-8-10 and the previous owner passed away two years ago. He was in the proses of rebuilding the control box on the tower. We are having a problem with the radar. The monitor has power to it and the arm swings on the ray. The monitor will show the
milage rings but will not show any land mass. Its like there is no signal from the ray to the monitor. Any thought could it be a fuse in the ray? -
I ran into something simaler with my Raytheon radar, turned out that one of the plugs that go into the antena ahd come loose. Check and clean all your plugs and if that does not do it I would contact Furuno and see what they would recomend. I would also check all the wires from one end to the other for breaks.
