plank replacement
-
Ahoy, and welcome aboard. The planks come off the same as they went on.Put a sander to them, find the screw plugs, and remove them.Reinstall the same. When they're off, inspect the ribs,to be sure they are solid. If not,you can sister on a oak rib next to it.I recommend using a mask,as the mahogany dust is toxic. If it's just a few soft spots on painted wood, you can clean out the rot,get it nice and dry, then epoxy the spot, throw some bondo in it,and repaint it.Congrats on the new girl
