Electrical Grd.

Electrical Grd.

    Hi Mike,

It sounds like you should make a serious effort to check the polarity at both ends of the AC shore-power connection. The entire 110VAC circuit should be wired as it would be in any other 110VAC installation...Black should be hot and should be interrupted by the circuit breaker(s); white should be neutral; green should be ground. The only direct connection between the 110VAC and the 12VDC circuit should be on the ground side (In fact, if you have an isolator, the connection between the shore ground and the boat's 12VDC bonding circuit will be made through diodes rather than direct wiring, to help reduce stray current and the effects of electrolysis).

I have a copy of a 30' Pacemaker's wiring diagram. If that would be useful, send me a message and I'll send it to you.

    Kind regards,

    JoeBobb

PS: I'll send you a message through the site. Reply to my message...you have to have three posts (I think) in order to send e-mails to other members.

Just bought a 34" Pacemaker and the circuit breaker pops real easy. Was looking at wiring and found that the positive 115v goes to the grd. and the neg. goes to the breakers. i do not belive this is right. The previous owner did some rewiring cause the wires are labeled but I believe they are backwards. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike

    JoeBobb,
A copy of the diagram would be great. I have one from a 78 but it is different maybe yours would be closer. Did get the polarity straightened out. Thanks Have not been able to work on it for awhile, been out of states. My email is mrmaddie1098@aol.com
