If you have a rotary start switch, first position starts the fans and water pump. Is this when the breaker trips? If so, either your fan motor/start capacitor is shorted, or your raw water pump motor is shorted. If the pump and fan runs in this position, and the breaker trips when you turn to the run position, it's either the start capacitor for the compressor or the compressor. Cheapest trial is to replace the start caps... With the breaker OFF, take the cover off the controller for the AC and look for a bad/broken/green connections on the caps, or the nylon connnector that brings the connections into the controller box from the bilge... Any green or broken connectors need attention...
