Pacemaker Hull No. 284

Pacemaker Hull No. 284
  • Morning+WoodMorning Wood August 2007

I remember somewhere that a person has all the old records from Egg Harbor and Pacemaker concerning hull numbers and original line sheets. It escapes me right now. Check on The Egg Harbor site 1st. They may have a link. Or check their archives. Bob Adams is their wood boat guru and he may have some info as well. In the woodie forum I think you may find his e mail address. Meantime I will check my records and I think I may have the name.

We "inherited" a Pacemaker wood boat and know very little about it, would like to restore it to it's former glory. Has Pacemaker B31 C.P. Leek & Sons, Incl Egg Harbor stamped on the brass plate. Name of the vessel is Knotty by Nature, any information on the boat, i.e. age, etc or where to find information would be appreciated.

Good Moring, Moring Wood. I joined this Association in Aug., had a lot of replies, which was great. I'm wondering if you found Bob Adams address. I'd like to talk to him, my hull number is #296, I'm looking for more information on my boat. Thanks Walter/quote]

I should take a ride over to the old Pacemaker/Egg Habor factory. Ocean Yachts is in the same building and is owned by the original owners of Pacemaker and Egg Habor, the Leek family. The factory is about 20 miles from my home, 6 miles from by car or 4 miles by water from the marina. I keep my boat at Viking Yacht marina and factory. I know there is a lot of the old Pacemaker and Egg Habor forms still there, who knows what is left back there. I guess it is worth a trip.
